The
Dog and Cat Clinic, was founded in 1940 by Dr. Robert Franks, a
graduate of Texas A&M. He owned and operated the Dog & Cat
Clinic until 1985 when it was purchased by the current
owner/Veterinarian, Dr. Valri E. Brown, a 1982 graduate of Auburn
University, Auburn Alabama. She is the daughter of Air Force parents
during elementary and middle school years. Then during high school her
father retired and they moved to Alabama, hence Dr. Brown attended
Auburn University for her Veterinary training. Upon graduation she
immediately moved to Louisiana where she did a 3 month internship for a
veterinarian in Minden and then went to work for Dr. Franks. Three
years later she purchased the practice!
The
practice is an all small animal practice, exclusively specializing in
dogs and cats and prides itself on personal, friendly service with
excellent individual one-on-one care for you and your pet. The clinic's
warm and inviting atmosphere will make you feel right at home. We
treasure our long-term clients who founded the clinic as well as our
new clients responsible for our continued growth, success and future
expansion. Dr. Brown has put together a wonderful, caring, and
competent staff who are genuinely concerned about the service they
provide and helping your pet lead a longer, healthier, happier life.
In
the future, Dr. Brown has plans for expansion and is planning to build
a larger facility on the same site. She plans to add additional
veterinarians and expand services even further to include Board
Certified Internal Medicine specialist to better serve our patients,
their families and the community. We are very excited about this and
appreciate all of our wonderful clients who will make this expansion
happen.
Our mission is to offer a caring and
nurturing environment for our patients and their families while
providing high quality medicine in a professional, compassionate and
competent manner. |
